Back pain (also known "dorsalgia") is pain felt in the back that may originate from the muscles, nerves, bones, joints or other structures in the spine.
The pain may have a sudden onset or it can be a chronic pain, it can be felt constantly or intermittently, stay in one place or refer or radiate to other areas. It may be a dull ache, or a sharp or piercing or burning sensation. The pain may be felt in the neck (and might radiate into the arm and hand), in the upper back, or in the low back, (and might radiate into the leg or foot), and may include symptoms other than pain, such as weakness, numbness or tingling.
Back pain is one of humanity's most frequent complaints. In the U.S., acute low back pain (also called lumbago) is the fifth most common reason for all physician visits. About nine out of ten adults experience back pain at some point in their life, and five out of ten working adults have back pain every year.

Choosing a Chiropractor - 3 Red Flags to Watch Out For

Tens of millions of people were in favour of chiropractic treatments for more than a century. Although the orthodox medical establishment seeks to destroy the industry, and chiropractors have arrested for practicing medicine without a license, they advanced. Finally, the AMA and other medical industry groups were on trying to limit human health care decisions, chiropractic and is now flourishing throughout the world.

Unfortunately, there is a downside to this - there have always been a small number of chiropractors, in the knowledge that the People are desperate for relief of pain and disease, forget their oath, and more and more interested in alleviating the patient their money than their pain. Fortunately, the vast majority of chiropractors are honestly and with integrity, and we do not mean to the average denigrated the chiropractic physician in any way. But there are a few bad apples, and you should know what the warning signs of a Chiropraktor avoided are.

First, he or she does argue that sound unbelievable to her face? For example, the ability to reverse cancer or diabetes or other serious diseases by spinal manipulation? Believe it or not, there are a few chiropractors, such outlandish claims. But there is no scientific evidence that spinal manipulation can have no effect on such diseases, let alone cure. Run from any chiropractor, these claims.

Second, does the chiropractors claim to possess some "repressed" or secret technology or treatment method that only he or she knows? Of course, medical breakthroughs by a single person are still possible, but they are extremely rare. Word of such insights would quickly spread. Claims such as these are not good, chiropractors and makes them generally should avoided.

Third, he or she does try to pressure you into signing up for a month or a year long treatment plan, consisting of 2 or 3 visits per week? This is very expensive and is rarely necessary. This kind of thing used to be a much more common in the chiropractic field as it is today, but it is not completely extinct. Each chiropractor, tries to commit to spending thousands of dollars more than a year ago, when all you wanted was a spinal adjustment should avoided.
